I am a first-year PhD student in the Computer Science Department at Carnegie Mellon University. I am co-advised by Prof. Peter Steenkiste and Prof. Srinivasan Seshan.

My research interests include computer networks and computer systems. I design and build faster computers, and explore various computing paradigms in post Moore’s Law era. Most recently, I have been working on reconfigurable data center networks and TCP congestion control for data centers.

Prior to CMU, I was a tech lead on Google’s Network Infrastructure team, where I helped build a data center network solution Jupiter and an SDN controller Orion.

I received an MS in Computer Engineering from University of Virginia, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Wuhan University.
